FUKUOKA -- A plane traveling from Narita Airport to Hong Kong made an emergency landing at Fukuoka Airport after a Turkish passenger who had been drinking reportedly started acting violently.
None of the 241 passengers or 12 crew members aboard the Hong Kong plane, Dragonair Flight 361, was injured and the emergency landing did not affect other flight schedules.
Fukuoka Airport officials and others said the plane left Narita Airport at about 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
At 5:38 p.m., while the plane was flying above Kagoshima, crew members contacted Fukuoka Airport saying, "A Turkish passenger is drunk and has got into an argument with another passenger. He shoved a crew member aside and is acting violently, so we want to make an emergency landing."
The plane touched down at Fukuoka Airport at about 6:10 p.m. (Mainichi) |
