Kingfisher Airlines chose Pratt & Whitney PW4000s to power its A330 fleet
07/21/2006

Kingfisher Airlines chose Pratt & Whitney PW4000s to power its A330 fleet. The deal includes 10 installed engines, one spare and an option for an additional 10. Pratt also was awarded a long-term exclusive fleet management program to overhaul and repair Kingfisher's PW4000s. Pratt valued the total transaction at $300 million, plus an additional $200 million if all options are exercised.

Pratt & Whitney Canada signed an exclusive five-year agreement with Kingfisher to maintain engines for its new fleet of 35 ATR 72-500s. The contract is valued at approximately $60 million. Under the agreement, P&WC will provide engine maintenance and accessory coverage for Kingfisher's 70 PW127Fs, along with seven spare engines.
