SR Technics will provide component management services to Virgin Blue covering the Australian airline's 53 737-700s and dash 800s. The three-year contract is valued at more than $40 million and covers MRO and modification services for about 600 component part numbers.

Shanghai SR Technics, a joint venture between SR Technics and Shanghai Foreign Aviation Service Corp., will commence operations at Shanghai International Airport by the end of July and has signed up its first customer, Malaysia's Transmile. Shanghai FASCO will provide technical support--mainly line maintenance--for the airline's MD-11 freighters during their transit stops in Shanghai.
