On June 22, AvBuyer.com.cn/en interviews with Mr. Li Xianzhe, General Designer of Harbin Aircraft Industry Group. Mr. Li introduces some information about the Y12F Aircraft.

Mr. Li says, Y12F aircraft is a new type of aircraft, which is manufactured according to the requirements of the market. Frankly speaking, this aircraft is under the development of Y12 series aircrafts. Y12F aircraft is mainly used for air transport, but freight balanced. Compared with the former Y12 aircraft, there has been a remarkable improvement in terms of its performance, weight, tonnage and economy, so this aircraft has great competition in the international market.

Currently, there are four kinds of aircrafts that can compete with our aircraft around the world, Mr. Li says, including two kinds of aircraft with the same tonnage of Y12F: one is SkyLander aircraft of French GECI Corporation, but this one is mainly used in cargo transport, passenger balanced, so their purposes are different, and the other is Italian S2500, but its rate of development is comparatively slower than Y12F. There are also two other aircrafts that one is Polish M-28 aircraft, and the other one is Spanish Casa-212.
