The General Manager of Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant Mr. Belich Leonid Yakovlevich said that China and Ulan-Ude are always keeping a good cooperation relationship. With the economic recovery of Russia and the increasing need for general aviation of China, Ulan-Ude and China have started several cooperation in these years. At present, Mi-171 helicopter manufactured by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant has been exporting to China. This helicopter has the advantages of good performance and low price, and it took a very important role in the Sino-Russian joint anti-terrorism drill.

When he was asked of the great competition in the international market, Mr. Belich Leonid Yakovlevich smiled and said, “Competition is anywhere, and the point is how you treat the competition. We believe that the competitions in the international market among our competitors and us are healthy ones, such as the competition among us, Eurocopter and Agusta Helicopter in China. We all cooperate with different manufacturers in China, to research and design the new products, and during the competition, we even learn from the others. Therefore, we don't need worry about anything, if the competition is healthy. We are also very willing to learn from our competitors.
