Air China Ltd, one of the country's three main airlines, said its board has agreed to indirectly acquire a 25 pct stake in Air China Cargo Co Ltd, via the purchase of Gold Leaf Enterprise Holdings Ltd's entire stake in Langxing Co Ltd, an Air China Cargo shareholder.

In a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the airline said that the acquisition will be executed via wholly-owned subsidiary China National Aviation Co Ltd.

The company did not give further details, but added that the deal is subject to shareholder approval.
