Major airline companies in the United States are set to launch six new routes to China following recent approval from the US Department of Transportation.
Among them, American Airlines will launch a new direct route between Beijing and Chicago in 2009. This will be its second direct route between the two countries.
In today's BizChina interview, we talk with Theo Panagiotoulias, the vice president of American Airlines' Asia-Pacific region, about the significance of the route and expanding operations in China.
