CAAC/ATMB convened the "radar control technology seminar" in Guangzhou on April 12 to 13. Wang Liya, deputy Director General of CAAC/ATMB, Zhang Zhongxiao, Director General of central south ATMB, and Liang Shijie, Chief Pilot of central south administration, as well as directors from various regions' air traffic control department and 10 air traffic controllers participated this meeting. Su Langen, Director General of CAAC/ATMB also attended this meeting and heard the report about the achievements of radar control technology. At the meeting, they deeply discussed such issues as further reduce radar control separation, visual flight separation, control deployment skills and radar control training etc. Director General Su asked, they should carry out the relevant work determined at the meeting. Including: to establish leading group to apply the visual separation technology; to promulgate the guiding document about further reducing radar control as soon as possible; to initially set up aviation user-oriented tracking system about air traffic control service quality by the end of September, so as to listen to the comments and suggestions from aviation users. He also asked, regional ATMB should actively carry out each work to ensure smooth implementation of reform.
