On February 2nd, HU7987 took off from Beijing Capital Airport for Taibei, which marked the start-up of charter flight operation across the Taiwan Strait for the traditional Chinese Spring Festival. This is the fifth charter flight operation between the mainland China and Taiwan since 2003.

In spite of the fact that the charter flight operation can lesson the inconvenience of the transport across the strait, the strong voice for the direct flights is increasingly higher.
