An EVA Airways Corp. plane made an emergency landing at Kansai International Airport in Osaka, said airport spokeswoman Eri Kimura.
The aircraft landed safely, Kimura said. The plane was bound for Taipei from Central Japan International Airport near Nagoya, Kyodo News reported. EVA is Taiwan's second-largest air carrier.
The pilot of the Airbus SAS A330-200 was alerted by a warning light in the cockpit, according to Naoki Takahashi, a member of EVA's marketing staff in Tokyo. No malfunction was discovered and the flight will resume around 2:35 p.m., he said.
