Shanghai Pudong International Airport says that a new fee structure announced by China's aviation regulator in January will reduce its income by about 10%.
The revised fee structure will require the country's airports to cut landing and take-off fees for foreign airlines, to bring them into line with fees paid by Chinese airlines and improve the competitiveness of the airport industry.
Officials from the airport say that the new fee structure took effect on 1 March 1.
In an earlier, preliminary report on its 2007 earnings, the company reported that total income last year rose 6% to USD$442 million (Yuan 3.14 billion).
