Ameco Beijing, an aircraft maintenance joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa, said it has completed construction of its 700 mln yuan hangar at Beijing Capital International Airport.
The hangar, which can house Airbus A380 'superjumbos', is the largest of its kind in Asia.
It will be opened in April, Ameco said.
The new facility will support Air China's fleet and perform maintenance for other carriers that use Beijing Airport's Terminal 3.
Ameco said it has also started work on a new hangar for Boeing 747 aircraft. It is slated for completion by the end of this year.
The two hangars together will have bays for 15 wide-body and 11 narrow-body aircraft.
Ameco is owned 60 pct by Air China and 40 pct by Lufthansa.
