Brief Introduction of Xi'an Aircraft Industry(group) Company Limited

Xi'an Aircraft Industry(group) Company Limited(hereafter refered to XAC),the super-sized aviation industry enterprise integrated with scientific research and production,is a base of developing and manufacturing large and medium-sized airplanes in China. Being the state first grade enterprise,XAC has more than 20,000 employees and covers a total area of 3 million square meters.

From its establishment, in 1958 and especially since reform and opening to the outside world,XAC always insists on taking development and production of military and commercial airplanes as first priority,seeking the scientific and technological progress for development and greatly developing the non-aero products. Now XAC has become a high tech industry group integrated with aircraft automobile,architectural material,electronic products and import and export trade etc.

Over 40 years,XAC has successively developed and manufactured more than 20 different types of aircraft,such as Chinese flying leopard,B6 family. Of which 30 airplanes in 5 types participated the 50th aniversary National Day military parade; the commercial airplanes are Y7 family and Modern Ark 60(MA60), which is designed and developed according to requirements of CCAR-25 and FAR-25; it's safety, reliability, comfort, economy and maintainability have reach to or close to the level of similar advanced commuter aircraft in the world.

In 1980, XAC took its first step in international aviation cooperation and joint-venture management with many world-famous companies of foreign countries, such as the U.S.A., Canada, Italy, France and Germany. The parts and components for foreign companies produced in XAC are mainly B737-700 vertical fins and B747 components for Boeing, Airbus doors and ATR42 wing box for Aerospecial, CL415 components for Canadair as well as ATR72 section 16 for Alenia etc.. Non-aero products are mainly Volov luxury bus,XIFEI brand aluminum extrusions, architectural metal panel, aluminum doors and windows series products, VCM film laminate plate, frequency variable ambiguity controller, morale bookshelf, anti-static floor board and so on.

XAC has possessed the parent-and-son company system of taking the capital as a link, of which Xi'an Aircraft International Corporation is a listed company; Xi'an Silver Bus Corporation, a joint-venture; XAC Aluminum Industry Limited Corporation, XAC Decorating and Furnishing Company Corporation and XAC Qinghua Electronics Company are the share holding son-companies and share cooperation system enterprises, And XAC financial Affairs Company and XAC Group Import and Export Company are setup by XAC, too.

LEADERS OF XAC

Chairman of the Board and President: Mr. Gao Dacheng

Mr. Gao Dacheng, a member of CCP, was born in 1948, worked in 1968 and graduated from Northwest Polytechnic University. He was once deputy director, deputy factory director, factory director, assistant to president and vice president. He is current the chairman of the board and president of XAC, vice secretary of Party committee, representative of ninth CCP shaanxi Province representative conference, part-time professor of Zhengzhou Aeronautics Management Institute, sdanding directors of Glob Overseas Chinese Aviation Science and Technology Assosiation, China State-owned Assets Youth President and China Aronautics Assosiation as well as professor-level senior economic engineer. Working in XAC more than 30n years, he has participated and organized the development abd manufacture for several types of airplanes, and made a great contribution to H6, Y7, FBC-1, trunkliner and MA60. Being the president of XAC, he is bold in making exploration and innovation, leads all the employees to improve the economic benefit and capability of the enterprise. 
 
The secretary of the Party Committee: Mr. Meng Xiangkai
 
Meng Xiangkai was born in 1961, and has been working for XAC since graduation from avionics course of NPU in 1982. Studied industry trade course in BUAA and hold a master's degree during his working in XAC. Joined the Chinese communist Party in 1991. He has worked as designer, vice director and director in Aircraft Design Division; vice president in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company; Chairman of the board and president in Hang Yu system Company; Vice director in Aircraft Sales and Support Division; director in Quality Assurance Division, etc.

Eutered into the top leading bodies as vice president of XAC and director of Quality Division in March, 2003.

Enter upon the secretary of the Party Committee and vice chairman of the board in XAC from May, 2004.

CAPACITY

A/C Wind Tunnel Test 

Being the super sized aviation industry enterprise and important base of developing and manufacturing the large-and-medium-sized military and commercial airplanes in China, XAC occupies a total area of over 3,000,000 square meters, 1,300,000 of which is construction area. It employs more than 20,000 employees and owns various kind of over 6,000 equipment, about 1,600 of which are metal cutting machines and more than 70 large CNC machines as well as over 30 new process and technology production lines which reach to the international advanced level of 1990's.

Under XAC there are 20 professional aircraft design department and 5 aircraft design laboratories such as flight control, hydraulic, fuel power supply and environmental control; Equipment Company, Power Supply Company, Tooling Manufacturing Company, Machining Factory, Sheet Metal Forming Factory, Non-metallic Fabrication Factory, Sub-assembly and final assembly Plants as well as Flight Test Station. The material and process Application Research institute, Computer Center, and Test Center are also set up. The advanced equipment scientific management system and excellent employee's quality constitute the powerful capabilities of XAC.

Large Coordinate Measuring Machine 

XAC Aircraft Design Division, a leading unit engaging in aircraft research development and modification, is of powerful technical capabilities with about 500 aircraft design personnel(21 professional senior engineers, 140 senior engineers and 150 engineers), 7 aircraft design departments for various specialties, 1 test lab and 2 business management office.

XAC has setup PDM-CAX system in XAC Aircraft Division, which has 3 computer rooms for CAD, 2 for CAE and 7 for general purpose. PDM platform is being used to integrate CAX system. With years of experience in development of domestic civil turbo-prop aircraft and experience sharing with foreign aircraft manufacturers, XAC has familiarized and learned to utilized the civil aircraft airworthiness verification and design technology.

XAC insists on carrying out the development of quality benefit, has set up reliable quality assurance system, successively implemented ISO9000 international quality standard, passed through the quality assurance system audit done by China quality certification authority and American Federal Aviation administration.
