Dragonair is advising passengers that it will move its operation in Shanghai to the new Terminal 2 at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. From that date, all the airline's flights between Hong Kong and Shanghai - a total of 16 scheduled flights each day - will arrive and depart from Terminal 2. Check-in counters for departures from the new terminal will be located in area D.
"Dragonair is pleased to be operating from the new Shanghai Pudong International Airport Terminal 2 where our customers will be able to enjoy a modern, efficient and passenger-friendly facility," said Dragonair Chief Executive Officer Kenny Tang.
"The opening of Terminal 2 provides us with an opportunity to further boost the quality of service we offer with an overall improvement in the travel experience for our passengers.
Passengers travelling in First or Business Class on Dragonair or sister airline Cathay Pacific as well as Silver-status or above members of the Marco Polo Club will have access to the 970 square-metre lounge that features two food and drink venues, a wide selection of Western and Chinese dishes that will be changed on a regular basis, wireless Internet access, workstations, large flat-screen TVs and specially trained lounge staff.
Offices and other facilities in Terminal 2 will all be ready for operation on April 29. Dragonair's check-in counters will close 40 minutes before departure as before. However, passengers are reminded to check in as early as possible to allow sufficient time to get to their respective boarding gates in the new terminal.
