SR Technics has concluded a five-year agreement with Flybaboo to provide line maintenance services for the Swiss-based carrier at Geneva Airport. Flybaboo is SR Technics' first customer operating Embraer ERJ190 aircraft.
The SR Technics line maintenance station at Geneva Airport has expanded its range of products and services. In addition to various Airbus and Boeing aircraft types, the facility is now licensed to handle Embraer ERJ190 aircraft. SR Technics has also won its first airline customer operating the type: Flybaboo. The new five-year agreement with the Swiss-based carrier extends to line maintenance activities and "A Checks" (minor maintenance tasks) on the three Embraer ERJ190s that Flybaboo is in the process of acquiring. The volume of work the agreement covers will be increased in 2009 with the arrival of two further new Embraer ERJ190s.
Flybaboo's major maintenance work, engineering, fleet technical management and logistics are handled by Régional, an Air France airline subsidiary.
"We must continue to respond to market needs and expand our product and service offer accordingly if we are to further pursue our present growth strategy," says Helmut Himmelreich, Senior Executive Vice President Aircraft Services at SR Technics.
"And we are delighted that we will now be supporting Flybaboo with our quality line maintenance services."
