Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to COMAC) is a state-owned limited liability company founded by the approval of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, and is jointly invested by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Shanghai Guo Sheng (Group) Co., Ltd., China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I), China Aviation Industry Corporation II (AVIC II), Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO), Baosteel Group Corporation and Sinochem Corporation, with 19 billion yuan registered capital. The headquarters is located in Shanghai. Mr. Zhang Qingwei, is the Chairman of the Board and the Secretary of the CPC committee of COMAC. The President is Mr. Jin Zhuanglong.

COMAC is founded under the Company Law of the People's Republic of China, has established a Standard Corporate Governance Structure. Board of supervisors dispatched by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Board of stockholders, and Board of directors have been set up. COMAC is mainly engaged in the design, develop, manufacture, modification, flight test, sale, maintenance, service, technical development and technical advisory of commercial aircraft and relative products; leasing and financial services related to the manufacture and sale of commercial aircraft; import or export business of our own company or of our subsidiary companies; aircraft parts manufacture; investment, finance, foreign trade circulation, international cooperation, international project contracting, international technology, and labor service cooperation etc. within the scope of our business activities.

COMAC owns The First aircraft Institute AVICI (former Shanghai Aircraft Design & Research Institute), Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Factory, AVICI Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd., Shanghai Aviation Industrial (Group) Corporation (SAIC) and its subsidiaries. COMAC has set up its Beijing office and the representative offices in Europe and in America will also be established.
