It seems it was not all doom and gloom for ticket holders with failed Oasis Hong Kong Airlines.
Some would-be travelers came out on top.
Some passengers who paid for their tickets with credit cards that run bonus points schemes and who received refunds from their issuing banks, found to their satisfaction that their bonus points were not deducted from their accounts.
They subsequently rebooked on a different airline and gained the same number of bonus points good for redemption for frequent flier air miles or other goods from their banks.
