China Airlines and Mandarin launch three direct weekend charter services

China Airlines and its subsidiary, Mandarin Airlines, have launched three round-trip direct weekend charter services between Taiwan and mainland China.
In addition to launching the direct weekend charter flights, China Airlines also represents ground handling business for most of the Chinese carriers, such as China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Air China and Hainan Airlines, for their flights into the Taoyuan International Airport and the Taipei Songshan Airport in Taiwan.
From Taiwan merchants' charter flights in 2003, to Chinese traditional festivals charter flights, and to weekend charter flights which take off on July 4, 2008, China mainland and Taiwan are walking smoothly towards regular direct cross-straits flights.
