China Eastern Airlines Corp said its board has agreed to invest 50 mln yuan to set up a business-jet unit in order to improve services to high-end customers. 

Business-jet travel is growing 20 pct a year in China and more than 400 of the world's largest companies have set up joint ventures in the country，the carrier said.

The company did not provide details on the unit's fleet plans.

Registration of China Eastern's business-jet unit is still pending government approval, it added.
