Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant (UUAP) has completed the certification procedure of its own training center. College of Federal Agency for Transport Supervision of Russian Federation recognized that training center of JSC "UUAP" is complied with requirements of Air legislation of Russian Federation and issued in accordance with these legislation normative acts, and gave upon this fact corresponding License. This license gives UUAP full rights for flight and engineering personnel training on the following courses:

* Retraining and refresher training of crew members of Mi-171, Mi-8AMT, Mi-8MTB helicopters and their modifications.
* Retraining and raising of qualification of technicians-and-engineers on design and operation of Mi-171, Mi-8AMT, Mi-8MTB helicopters and their modifications.
* Personnel training on operation of test and control equipment of Mi-171, Mi-8AMT, Mi-8MTB helicopters and their modifications.
* Personnel training on main rotor blade repairing of Mi-171, Mi-8AMT, Mi-8MTB helicopters and their modifications.

The main base for ATC was founded in 2006 on the base of operation and repairing shop. Its foundation was stipulated by world practice of aircraft industry leaders, and by Mi-171 helicopter customers' desire to conduct training of flight officers directly on the premises of the manufacturing plant. Intensive work on fitting out with technical means of training rooms was carried out on the first stage of center foundation. This work followed concisely worded business plan.

Process of carrying out of work for License receiving was initiated by UUAP in 2007. This work was made according to Federal Aviation Rules, and the final decision for certificate issuing was accepted at "Rostechnadzor" collegiate organ.

Therefore, at the present time UUAP has not only well-developed material and technical base to conduct education directly on the premises of its own plant, and also has official recognition of our possibility to carry out training of highly knowledgeable specialists having necessary level of knowledge for helicopter accident-free operations.

Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant

Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant is one of the leading enterprises of aviation industry and military-industrial complex of Russia. Mi-171 Helicopter

Mi-171 helicopter appeared as a result of deep upgrade of well-known Mi-8 helicopter. It designed by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant (MMHP) and manufactured at Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant.
Mi-171 helicopter can be used for:

* Transportation up to 37 fully equipped paratroopers/ personnel on troop seats.
* Transportation up to 26 persons on passenger seats.
* Carrying up to 4000 kg of cargo in the cargo compartment.
* Carrying up to 4000 kg of cargo on external sling.
* Transportation up to 12 stretcher cases accompanied by medical attendant (MEDEVAC role).
* In-flight cargo loading-unloading.
* SAR missions.
* Fire-fighting missions

Apart from multipurpose Mi-171 helicopter Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant manufactures passenger and VIP versions, Mi-171A cargo/passenger helicopter and Mi-171Sh combat-transport helicopter.
 
Mi-171 helicopter has Type Certificate of the Russian Federation. China, South Korea, Slovakia and Mongolia granted their Type Validation Certificates to this superb helicopter.

Today Mi-171 helicopters of different configurations flies in Central and South East Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa, Latin America and CIS countries.
