Philippine Airlines canceled Friday three flights to Hong Kong as Typhoon "Karen" (international codename: Nuri) passed through there the same day.
Flights set to leave at 8 a.m., 10: 10 a.m. and 2.50 p.m. have been canceled because of the weather, PAL said in an urgent advisory.
"PAL will determine later in the day if its fourth flight to HK will be able to depart at 6:30 p.m., depending on weather improvement in HK." PAL said Friday.
A radio dzMM report said eight flights bound for Hong Kong were cancelled, citing three 300, 318, and 306. The report, however, did not state the times of these flights.
PAL will resume flights to Hong Kong at 7 a.m. Saturday, the report said.
