First Flight Leaves September 7 from Taipei to Shanghai
China Airlines and its subsidiary Mandarin Airlines will launch Mid-Autumn Festival charter flights directly to Shanghai, from September 7 to 21. A total of four round-trip charter flights from Taipei to Shanghai have been arranged, and Boeing 747-400s will be used for the charters, which will provide two-class service.
Passengers from Taiwan region can reserve their flights by calling the China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines Call Centers directly at Tel: 02-2715 1212 and 02-2717 1230, or by using the China Airlines web site (www.china-airlines.com) make their reservations through designated travel agencies. With the required mileage, or an additional payment, Dynasty Flyer members can upgrade their seats or redeem a free ticket on the charter flights, and Dynasty Flyer members can also accumulate double mileage on the charter flights. ). A 5% discount on ticket fares is available for passengers using web-ATM payment on the China Airlines website; a 6% discount on ticket fares is available for Dynasty and Gold card members; and a 7% discount is available for Emerald and Paragon card members.
Passengers on China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines can use their tickets interchangeably on both airlines, and can combine scheduled flights with the charter flights. Passengers with scheduled flight tickets can switch those tickets to charter flights without an administration charge, and need only pay the price difference if required. Passengers can also join China Airlines Dynasty Packages to Shanghai.
