Singapore is taking part in four sports — athletics, equestrian, sailing and swimming — at the Beijing Paralympics, which starts on Saturday.
The republic's six Paralympians were given a warm send—off on Monday morning at Changi Airport by sports officials and fans.
Only sailors Jovin Tan, Desiree Lim and swimmer Theresa Goh have previous Paralympic Games experience.
Goh is Singapore's medal hopeful, having won three golds in the Para Games in Korat, Thailand, last year. She was also a five—time finalist in the last Paralympic Games in Athens.
The Beijing Paralympic Games will run from September 6 to 17.
