"Underground" broadcaster Citizens' Radio will continue to go on air despite receiving an order last night to stop because it interfered with aviation communications on August 27.
The unlicensed station's convenor, Tsang Kin-shing, said he and his colleagues will not be deterred and will continue to run the station no matter what.
"It's political," he said. "The government doesn't want us to air our views."
Tsang, who had been taken to court on illegal broadcasting charges, did not believe their five-nights-a-week broadcast on FM102.8 had interfered with aviation communications.
The Office of the Telecommunications Authority issued the order following a Civil Aviation Department complaint on August 27 about interference from a broadcasting signal.
