CEVA Logistics has announced the opening of its new air freight hub in Hong Kong's Chep Lap Kok airport, providing improved services to major destinations in Europe, North America and throughout Asia.
The company expects now to double its growth by 2010, in line with its China strategy.
The opening of the new hub with direct airside access will enable the handling of larger air freight volumes more efficiently. The Hong Kong warehouse will be used to consolidate import and export freight shipments for both South China and Hong Kong.
With a yearly capacity of 145,000 tonnes, the facility will provide direct airside lodgement of export cargo from Hong Kong and South China, ensuring the quickest possible export and import services with maximum security and control.
With annual revenue of around US$1 billion in 2007 for the China market and current growth of over 25 percent for 2008, the launch is part of CEVA's China investment strategy to double its business by 2010.
