Cathay Pacific flights between Hong Kong and Australia have been delayed by a typhoon.
Fierce weather hit Hong Kong last night, forcing its airport to be closed from 9pm until 8am today.
All overnight flights to Australia – and other countries – were grounded.
Cathay's flight CX105 usually arrives in Adelaide at 9.40am but now is expected at 8.15pm.
The outgoing flight, CX104 normally at 11.10am is not expected to leave until later in the night.
A Cathay Pacific spokesman said it was hoped flights would be back to normal scheduled times tomorrow
Where possible, passengers to have left on today's flight from Adelaide were notified about the long delay.
