It's certainly been a very busy week for China's transport sector. 383 million people boarded coaches over the National Day holiday, up 5-and-a-half percent from a year earlier.
While the aviation sector saw even bigger spikes, with 4.3 million passengers boarding planes, a 14.8 percent jump year-on-year.
On Sunday alone, the last day of the week-long holiday, 690 thousand people took to the air, with 78 percent of seats on carriers fully booked out. And finally, Sunday also saw 6.4 million people clambering aboard trains, just about equal to numbers recorded on the first day of the Golden Week.
