Xiamen International Airport in China's Fujian province has completed the renovation and expansion of its 3,000m² domestic terminal retail area.

According to airport officials, by the end of this year, more brands under the Yum! Group, such as Pizza Hut and East Dawning, will begin operations at the airport.

The airport authority is also planning to renovate the underground parking area of Terminal 3 and transform it into offices and warehouses for airline use.

Last year Xiamen airport was the 11th busiest in terms of passenger traffic in China with more than 8.6 million passengers.
