en.AvBuyer.com.cn: It is our honor to have Mr. Tang Bing here. As we know, China Southern Airlines gained the Five Star Flight Safety Award in June, which is the highest reward of flight safety granted by CAAC. How can China Southern do it and keep it?
Tang Bing: Safety is the most important thing for the airlines. It is not only the honor of China Southern to gain the Five Star Award, but also the honor of the whole civil aviation industry. Since 1997, China Southern has been paying high attention to the safety construction, especially in pilot and maintenance technicians training. The reward relies on all the staffs and the safety management.
en.AvBuyer.com.cn: Could you give us a general introduction of the maintenance cooperation agreement signed by China Southern, Air China and China Eastern at the Airshow China 2008?
Tang Bing: The maintenance system is a very important system of the airlines. In the past, China Southern, Air China and China Eastern cooperated a lot in the technical system. This maintenance cooperation deepens our cooperation. It directly requires our technical systems to cooperate in aircraft parts support, route maintenance, aircraft heavy maintenance and staff training. Aircraft maintenance is important for the safety and security. So that I believe this cooperation is very helpful for improving the safety work of the three airlines.
