On the afternoon of Nov. 6th, en.AvBuyer.com.cn interviews Mr. Wang Liqun, Minister of Civil Aviation Tianjin Aviation Industrial Base at the Airshow China 2008. The following is the translation of the interview:
en.AvBuyer.com.cn: We are having Mr.Wang with us, the minister of Civil Aviation Tianjin Aviation Industrial Base. Mr.Wang, could you please tell us some of the latest development of the aviation industrial base.
Wang Liqun: Yes, CAAC and Tianjin government signed an agreement on Oct. 16th 2005 to establish a civil aviation technology base. Since then, we have been working on how to develop and promote the base. And we have set up a company, namely Tianjin aviation industry development company. A320 final assembly line here could server as an example for those world famous supplier and aviation related companies.
en.AvBuyer.com.cn: Comparing with other aviation industrial bases in western China, Xiamen, Shenyang and forthcoming one in Zhuhai, what's the advantage of Tianjing base?
Wang Liqun: Generally we have two advantages, strong support and good environment. The development of Binghai area has already became the focus of central government. And it is the third growth point after Shenzhen and Pudong. You know, the base right locates in Binghai area that means there is a huge support form Chinese government and a very good environment.
Another advantage goes to the fact that our base was established under the cooperation with CAAC. The cooperation is quite unique when compare with other bases and could hugely facilitate the engagement and development for those companies. And last, A320 final assembly line is what helps our base to be such a phenomenon.
en.AvBuyer.com.cn: It's true that Tianjin base has already become a phenomenon with embracing companies for more than 1300 now. Thank you for joining us.
