With the use of a new overhaul dock in 4-bay hangar recently, Ameco Beijing possesses three docks for overhaul and heavy maintenance to wide-body aircraft. The fourth dock is expected to build in 2010.
As the previous two docks, the structure and function of the new dock provide mechanics a convenient and safety access to all parts of the aircraft, which is helpful to the TAT reduction and the safety of aircraft and mechanics.
Ameco Beijing has provided heavy maintenance on almost 700 aircraft since the beginning of the JV Company and created several firsts in China or in Asia, or even globally.
After the operation of A380 hangar in July this year, the 4-bay hangar is entirely used as overhaul and heavy maintenance base. Further more, a Boeing747 hangar for heavy maintenance plus painting draws is under construction and will be used in next May. Except for the facility construction, 108 newcomers were enrolled as manpower supplement for heavy maintenance this year.
