After a thorough period of testing and trials, International Cargo Centre Shenzhen has launched its an advanced ATS – Automatic Tracking System, enabling the easy tracking of cargo shipments into and out of Shenzhen.
All consignees, shippers and relevant parties can use this enhanced tracking system through phone calls to its automated voice system. The system provides the latest up-to-the-minute status of every shipment with an 11 digit AWB number. The telephone system is available in Mandarin and English.
According to statistics, average incoming calls recorded were 61 per day during the trail period. On 8th Oct, incoming calls rose to 116 the highest point during testing. The daily average number of customers checking the status of AWB shipments via the system reached 74 during the test period.
The new automatic tracking system is a value-added service that all ICCS customers will benefit from in the time sensitive cargo business. The new service provides the important information of a shipments status in a fast, accurate and easy to use manner, increases efficiency for ICCS and adding convenience for all.
