Okay Airways denies reported order to suspend flights
Published: Dec 03, 2008
Private carrier Okay Airways Co Ltd, a local partner of FedEx Express, has rejected reports that it has been ordered by civil aviation regulator to suspend flights.

Okay Air spokesman Li Wei told XFN-Asia that the reports are not true. However, he did say that controlling shareholder Junyao Group is currently locked in a dispute with the management team led by founder and chairman Liu Jieyin.

The China Business News reported that the civil aviation regulator required Okay Air to stop flying between Dec 15 and Jan 15, due to 'flight security concerns' in light of the internal dispute.

Junyao Group plans to integrate Okay Air with its own carrier Juneyao Airlines.
