Beginning tomorrow, all terminals of Beijing Capital International Airport will make free wireless connectivity available to passengers.
Hao Lin, the airport's director of quality and safety, announced that the wireless network, previously a paid-for service, will now allow passengers to use the internet for free. Terminal 3 started the service on 16 June and the other two terminals will go on line tomorrow (30 June).
According to the ACI, passenger numbers at Beijing Capital Airport in the first quarter of 2009 rose to the second place among all global airports, reaching 15.15 million. Such immense passenger numbers have not resulted in any drop in service level. Compared with the fourth quarter of 2008, the customer satisfaction index rose from 4.30 to 4.37 (the top mark is 5) in the first quarter of 2009.
